Loving tendrils

Balanced for survival

Always on the precipice

Glimmering in the moonlight

Swaying in the wind

Living on the edge

Of forever.


Silken strands

Foundations for a home

Barriers to the unwary

Enticements to the unfortunate

Feared and revered

Avoided and imprisoned

A legacy of survival.


Ever vigilant

Ever busy

One day, death

And an empty home

A broken web

Speaks volumes

Dewdrops form

And fall unnoticed

Tears unbidden.
