Disturb Her Not

IMG_0504

Head beneath her wing

Weary to the bone

Breezes rustle feathers

Disturb her not.

The flight was long

Distances great

Hardships untold

All alone the passage.

Rest the only release

Nestled in the branches

A precarious perch at best

Not of her choosing.

The time has come to sleep

The ultimate release

The rest to last forever

Disturb her not.
