The charred wreckage remains
A tribute to our past
To those we leave behind
A legacy of death.
Once upon a time
The world was sweet and clean
Then man gained sentience
And needs became desires.
There was no place of peace
Man was ruler now
Over land and sea and air
The rest of life would kneel.
And now we pay a tribute
To all that we have lost
The error of our ways
The past that must not die.
